Pillowcase Apron & Little Girls Dress

I have been looking online on how to make an apron out of a vintage pillowcase, very cool idea. Of course any pillowcase will do. Its a very creative way to recycle.,I have also found on ebay that people are making and selling little girls dresses made out of vintage pillowcases. Very cute if you have a little girl. My cousin makes and sells them on ebay as well and I guess shes selling a ton of them.

I suffer from an incurable bladder disease called: (IC) Interstitial Cystitis. I am one of over 1 million people who have this horrible disease. It amazes me that it isnt a well known disease, it is rarely talked about and doctors dont even know what causes it.

In my case I suffer from reacurring bladder infections and have to urinate 20-60 times per day. It has also caused me to have bladder bleeding, bladder and abdominal pain. The only way for me to keep it under some kind of control is to avoid all acidic food and drinks. Do you know how hard that is?

I do not have INS and the cost to walk into the door of a specialist is $250.00..so I go on suffering!!!

I have done alot of research on the subject and I have yet to read anything positive about it, have yet to read any success stories.

I have been told by family members that this is all in my head..which disturbs me because it isnt. I found out from my obgyn in 2007 that this is what I have. The pain is real, the disease is real!!

I want to get the word out about this disease. I am going to write to every womans magazine there is until someone takes notice and does a story about it. I want a cure to be found. I want people to know what a horrible disease this truely is. It not only effects ones body but emotionally and mentally as well. It can cause severe depression in some people that they have either attempted suicide or followed through with suicide. This disease is no joking matter.

It causes people to not want to leave their house, causes problems in marriages, causes us to get teased relentlessly because we are always in the bathroom, causes us to get fired from jobs and not be able to find a job. No-one wants to hire someone who has to urinate 20- 60 times per day. Trust me I know first hand!!!

There are times when I feel that this disease will kill me. It is a very scary thing.

Prayer for Financial Blessings!!!

Heavenly Father, Most Gracious and Loving God, I pray to you that you abundantly bless my family and me. I know that you recognize, that a family is more than just a mother and father, sister and brother, husband and wife, but all who believe and trust in you. Father, I send up a prayer request for a financial blessing. Father I know that for you nothing is impossible, you just will it and it will happen. I thank you in advance for your blessings. Release your Godly Wisdom that I may be a good steward over all that GOD has called me to be in my financial Blessings. Father, for I know how wonderful and mighty you are and how if we just obey you and walk in your word and have the faith of a mustard seed that you will pour out blessings. I thank you now Lord ! for the recent blessings I received and for the blessings yet to come because I know you are not done with me yet. In Jesus Name, I pray, Amen. Sit back and watch the power of God work in your life.

Homemade Stir Fry

I love fresh veggies and although this took a little while to prepare- it was worth it!!!

1- bag of yellow saffron rice
1- green pepper
1- onion
1- pkg fresh mushrooms
1/2 package fresh brussell sprouts
1/2 pkg fresh green beans
1- pkg stir fry beef- cooked
oil

Cook rice according to directions
wash, snip off ends of green beans, boil for 3 mins
dice green pepper & onion
wash & slice mushrooms in half
cook beef

Put a little bit of oil in a pan & cook together on high, stirring constantly: green pepper, onion, brussell sprouts: once cooked add all ingrdients together & stir.

Beetle Bags

Dont buy those Beetle bags for your garden, all they do is attract them to your garden. Put a few tsp of dishwashing soap in a gallon container of water and put it spray bottle, spray plants. re spray after it rains. Keep checking, if you see any Beetles spray again.

If you do not want to make a gallon, use a clean spray bottle , fill with water and add a few drops of dish washing soap, close top, shake, spray

It works! I used it on my plants the other day and the next day they were gone, havent seen any since.

Cleaning Tips

When I used to clean houses full time I found that after cleaning bathroom tile and or smooth tub surrounds and then waxing with car wax, it was easier to clean the next time around. The water beads right off the tile and or smooth tub surround and makes it shiny. I also used car wax on sinks too. After applying car wax buff with a clean rag. Any inexpensive wax will do.

I love Murphys Oil soap. I wash my linoleum floors with it, my hard wood steps and any hard wood I have in the house. Instead of buying the expensive murphys spray I pour a tiny bit in a clean spray bottle and then will spray wood work and wipe with a cloth.

I also like to use Vinegar to clean with as well. Its inexpensive and supposed to kill germs too. I also put this a tiny bit in a spray bottle and spray down my counters with it.

Baking Soda works great on stainless steel pans. Put a few spoonfulls into the pan and scrub, rinse well.

How To Make Tile Jewelry

You can make tile jewelry out of scrabble tiles, domino tiles or from square woodsies.
Materials: Tile, Silver plated bail, decorative paper, diamond glaze by Judikins, E6000 Jewelry Adhesive, scissors, pencil, paint brush.
Instructions: Print out your design to desired size, trace pattern with pencil and cut out design. Apply design to tile with adhesive, apply diamond glaze with paint brush and let dry. After drying apply silver plated bail to the back with adhesive. If using scrabble tiles place design on flat side.

* Judikins diamond glaze looks like glass when it is dry. After applying glaze with a brush, pop any bubbles with a needle. Use small amounts and spread with small brush for better coverage. You can buy it online through Judikins.com. Its around $5.50 + S&H.
* You can also handpaint the designs on woodsies by Forster. The bag comes in 130 count and comes in assorted squares & circles. These can be bought online or in craft stores.
* Be aware that Scrabble & Domino are copyrighted & patented products and I recomend using other materials other than these.
